La Tanya Takla is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor specializing in individual, couples and family therapy, and maintains a private practice in Sacramento, California.

With over 10 years of experience as a Marriage and Family Therapist, and as a graduate of Holy Names University specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy, she is currently serving as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. 

Mrs. Takla is an interactive, solution-focused therapist. Her therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. She integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.

Education

Mrs. Takla obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development from California State University, East Bay and earned a dual Master’s degrees in Counseling Psychology and Culture and Spirituality from Holy Names University.  Currently Mrs. Takla is a doctoral candidate in the Educational Psychology Program at Argosy University.

License & Certifications 
Mrs. Takla has a certificate in Pastoral Counseling awarded at Holy Names University.  She is a Certified Clinical Supervisor through the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT), and regularly provides psychotherapeutic clinical consultation and supervision to trainee’s and interns.  

Professional Activities and Memberships

Mrs. Takla is a dedicated member of the clinical community and is passionate about her work as a clinician, consultant, and clinical supervisor.  In the last decade she has served on several community and professional Boards having the experience of serving as a chair as well as committee member.  Mrs. Takla is active in advocacy groups within her professional organizations and local communities.   In light of the high level of engagement her professional life brings, promoting self-care is a value Mrs. Takla takes to heart.  She regularly enjoys communing with nature, engaging in cultural song & dance, and poetry writing.
